Preparations

Two weeks today I will hopefully be in Lerwick, looking out over Bressay, sipping hot tea as I keep every finger crossed for good weather for the flight to Fair Isle the following morning. Everyone I have spoken to so far has been incredibly helpful and friendly, and they have all been fabulously encouraging. I am so looking forward to meeting everybody.

I cannot wait, and I have sent my materials ahead. Hopefully, Parcelforce will get it to Shetland in time to reach the Good Shepherd and Fair Isle before I do. At the moment it is in Chorley. That is 270 miles south of Inverness, and 660 miles from Fair Isle. I can but trust.

My blog and update starts proper from November, as I still have a HUGE amount of work to do before then, both in the studio and for my writing clients. I also need to prep everything for my stand at the Wasps Winter Market which my friend, the wonderful Jo Page, is running for me this year. So if you can, please go along and say hi, and pick up a few lovely things for Christmas at the same time. It is from 29 November to 1 December.
